Awards & Recognition

Purpose

The Fraternity & Sorority Life Awards Ceremony is an annual event at Texas Tech University to honor outstanding individual members, faculty/staff, alumni, and chapter achievements. The awards are based on the community values that are central to the characteristics that exist in the TTU Fraternity & Sorority Community. This application process will also assist chapters in preparing for annual inter/national reports and award applications.

Application Instructions

All application submissions must be submitted online via OrgSync in Fall 2014. All awards are listed below, click on the title of the award to apply. Not all of the awards have an OrgSync application form; some will be processed through reports the Center for Campus Life staff has received throughout the year. Late applications will not be accepted.

Eligibility

Chapters and individuals must be in good standing with Texas Tech University and not have been found responsible for any violations of the Texas Tech University Student Code of Conduct during the calendar year that the award recognizes to receive an award.

Award Selection Process

Individual awards will be given based on the scoring of the TTU Awards Selection Committee and are independent of all other awards. Chapter awards will be given based on the scoring of an Awards Selection Committee consisting of fraternity and sorority professionals outside of Texas Tech University. To be eligible for Chapter of the Year or the Dean’s Cup, you must have submitted applications for the chapter awards. Chapters are not expected to submit applications for all awards but each application supports the overall picture of your chapter’s success for 2014.
